RAJAKUMARI SINAPPAN

I am Rajakumari Sinappan and I was born into a large family, with 8 other siblings. My parents did not have access to formal education during their time. My father worked as a Felda Contractor. They did not want their children to have a life of hardship like theirs, so they made education a priority. They knew that was the only way to help us get better jobs and out of poverty. But this was not easy because education was not free in our country as it is now. I remembered how they had to borrow money in December every year to make sure we had books, uniforms, etc. to be ready for school in January.

Getting up on my own without a husband and with two (2) daughters and a young aged son was really tough. The loss of my husband was very hard for me to face, yet I managed to bring up my son and my two (2) daughters.

Currently, I am a businesswoman, managing a cleaning service which is not going as well as I thought it would be. I am also working as a grab driver for some extra income.

I truly believe in the phrase “spirituality is reality”. With all the hardship that I had endured in my life, I became wiser and, in that process, I understood that knowing and practicing spirituality would minimize the miseries of life. Hence, I joined this school first to learn the true essence of spirituality myself and at the same time serve others by promoting spirituality.
