VISION

Whilst spreading the spiritual knowledge is important especially to the younger generation, we also seek to establish a one-stop spiritual sanctuary/center to promote the true essence of spirituality as propagated by various masters, saints, sages, and rishis to a larger audience. This is basically an upgrade or advancement from school to an institution.
Through this sacred institute, we hope to carry out various spiritual activities and programs such as yoga, pranayama, meditation, spiritual sermons, and social services to guide spiritual aspirants from all over the world to walk the path of peace in life. We hope to dispel the darkness of ignorance and illuminate the future with the brightness of spiritual enlightenment. Humanity will benefit tremendously from proper guidance and not practices based on superstition and credulous beliefs.
This is particularly crucial in the context of our Indian community in Malaysia as the opportunity to grow spiritually is undeniably constrained thus making the establishment of a spiritual sanctuary obligatory, if not mandatory. By saying this, we are not ridiculing or mocking the current establishment and practices but sincerely advocating the importance and significance of transcending the concepts of Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga into Raja Yoga and Jnana Yoga to experience and benefit wholly from the science of spirituality.

FEATURES OF SANCTUARY OF SPIRITUAL SCIENCES

The Sanctuary of Spiritual Sciences will have four (4) components:

i. Exhibition Center

a. The first part of this building, consisting of five (5) lotus petals will educate one as to “Who I Am” particularly what they are made of, namely the five (5) cosmic elements (‘Panchabhoodhas”) and how these elements work within them. Each petal will represent one element namely fire, air, space, earth, or water. The first part of each petal will house a virtual and/or digital exhibition center as to how this element exists in this universe and within us, and its divine functions.

The second part of the petal will house a small meditation hall to enable one to feel this element within them through meditation. By experiencing this, one will have the opportunity to realise that this body is different from the spirit or soul.

b. The second part of the building will take the seeker on a tour of “self-realisation”. Once an understanding is achieved as to “Who I am”, one must be educated as to how to connect and eventually merge with divine energy i.e. the ethereal source of our existence. The second part of the building will be in the shape of a “dome”. This dome is divided into three (3) parts namely:
(i) The ground floor consists of a spiritual library and tutorial hall.
(ii) The first floor will have four (4) chambers to introduce the basic spiritual practices or sadhanas namely yogasanas, pranayama, prana activation and chanting.
(iii) The Second floor will house a magnificent and serene meditation hall to show and/or demonstrate that the ultimate way to reach divine energy is through meditation.

ii. Residential Learning and Training Centre
To function as a proper residential learning and training center, the following facilities will be made available:
(a) Hostel
This spiritual center will also house a hostel for those who want to learn about spirituality in depth either via short and long residential courses or simply staying on campus for a few days by observing silence and enjoying the true peace provided by nature in an ashram set up. The hostel building will have fifty (50) single rooms for male and fifty (50) single rooms for females. These rooms will have basic amenities such as a bed, cupboard, and an attached bathroom. No sharing will be allowed as silence will be observed throughout most of these courses because silence is an important part of spiritual sadhanas. In other words, it is easier to travel through an inner journey when there is no verbal communication.

(b) Multipurpose and Dining Hall
The center will also have a multi-purpose hall and a dining hall within the same building with a capacity of accommodating approximately one thousand (1000) people. All group spiritual activities such as satsang, exhibitions, lectures, training etc. will take place in this multi-purpose hall.
Supremely, SSS will serve only vegetarian food in the dining hall every day for the resident seekers, staff and possibly visitors at appropriate times for free as part of the practice of karma yoga.

iii. Research and Study Centre
It is also the ambition of SSS to run a spiritual library containing spiritual books, manuscripts, articles etc. by various saints, gurus, rishis, and maharishis. It is the intention of SSS to provide an overview about spirituality to seekers. It is then for the seekers to decide whether they want to follow a particular guru or stay general.

iv. Administrative Centre
The administrative office and accommodation for staff will be provided in this building.

REQUIREMENTS

1. The entire campus of this spiritual center would require at least three (3) to five (5) acres of land so that it gives enough space or room for the seekers to appreciate nature whilst learning and understanding the law of nature.

2. Construction costs, estimated at minimum ten (10) million.

3. SSS will create its own syllabus of teaching for the seekers. This syllabus will be based on teachings of all gurus and philosophers and the main focus of this syllabus is to provide spiritual education in the simplest method to all seekers.

4. The center will be environmentally friendly by using solar systems, rainwater harvesting systems, electrical vehicles within the campus, organic farming, etc.

5. SSS will also strive to provide simple, real, and organic food for all to promote a healthy lifestyle and to exhibit “we are what we eat”.

A 3D impression and/or illustration are attached herewith to give an idea on the outlook and inner look of this spiritual center.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Financial resources determine the success of this project, and we are planning to secure its finance by the following methods:
i. Government grants.
ii. Funding from Community Social Responsibility Scheme.
iii. Financial aid from local and international establishments and companies.
iv. Financial help from international spiritual and charitable organisations.
v. Organising events and activities locally and internationally to raise funding, sponsorship, grant, subsidy, capital, and any other financial support as the case may be.
vi. General donations and contributions from the members of the public.
vii. Others not specifically mentioned herein.

CONCLUSION

Spirituality is one of the main ingredients of life. That being the case, one will only be able to understand the purpose of life if the true essence of spirituality is first comprehended. Therefore, sharpening the knowledge of spirituality will make one appreciate life and live within the ambit of the law of nature or natural justice. SSS passionately believe that spiritual knowledge can make one proud of his /her own culture and create a peaceful and loving society.
